WHO ARE WE?
The Connecticut Rhythm & Blues Festival is a non-profit 501(c)(3) charity dedicated to promoting and preserving the musical genre, by creating educational programs in schools and communities, and helping local artists through organizations like Musicians Lifeline, Inc.
Last year was our third Connecticut Rhythm and Blues Festival event. Each year we bring in world famous musical artists and pair them with regional and up-and-coming local acts. Every year has been fantastic, and people are still talking about the outstanding music, the mouth-watering food, the beautiful venue and especially the fun, warm and friendly vibe!
We have donated over twenty thousand dollars to our beneficiaries since we began this event in 2023, in large part to you, our generous sponsors! Some of the programs we have contributed to are a college scholarship to a CT student majoring in music, helping families with the cost of music lessons, donating instruments to kids who cannot afford them, Blues Jam 101, a class that teaches kids how to play in music jams with people of all ages, Blues 101, an educational program presented at local libraries for community members of all ages, and making monetary and equipment donations to The Queen Ann Nzinga Center in New Britain, an organization that empowers at-risk youth through the arts. We have also made donations to Musicians Lifeline, Inc., which aids full-time musicians who fall on hard times and have no safety net. Our intention is to continue to provide support to these initiatives, and more.
Sponsoring the CTRB Festival gives your business the opportunity to get your name in front of people, to be associated with good times and great music, and to be known for helping support the arts, arts education, and musicians who give us so much of themselves. We are a still a young non-profit, but have aspirations and expectations to grow bigger and better and do more good for the people of Connecticut. Come grow with us!
WHO IS OUR AUDIENCE?
There is an even split of male and female attendees.
The majority of our ticket purchasers are ages 45 and up, as well as the families whose children have participated in music programs we help sponsor, or who are interested in taking part in future programs.
70% come from within a 30 mile radius of New Britain, and our market area expands throughout the state and as far as Western MA, Rhode Island, and New York.
